Privacy notice

Your research bookmarks stay local.

No accounts, wallet connections, or data-entry forms. Understand the local feature and the separate role of infrastructure providers.

Scope of this notice

This notice describes the features implemented in this website. It separates browser-local behavior from services used to host pages or handle email. It does not make promises about third-party websites linked in the guides or about settings independently added by a hosting operator.

No accounts or data-entry forms

The site has no signup, newsletter, contact, search, wallet-address, or portfolio-entry form. It does not request wallet connections, signatures, private keys, recovery phrases, or exchange credentials. Reading an article or profile does not require submitting personal information through a site form.

Research bookmarks in local storage

When you use a Save button, the browser stores selected profile IDs under the key trackaltcoins-watchlist-v1. The site uses those IDs to show your bookmarks and their count. The IDs are not transmitted by the site’s code to a server. The feature does not store wallet addresses, asset quantities, acquisition costs, or transaction histories.

Use Clear bookmarks on the watchlist page to remove these values, or clear this site’s data through your browser controls. Clearing data, private browsing, or storage restrictions may remove bookmarks. The export button creates a file on your device with the selected profile names, links, and export time. Protect that file according to your preferences.

Network requests and infrastructure

Pages, images, styles, scripts, and the reference JSON are requested from the site’s own origin. The code includes no third-party analytics, advertising tags, remote fonts, or external runtime market-data requests. A hosting or delivery provider may nevertheless process technical information such as IP addresses, request paths, timestamps, browser information, and error logs to serve the website. Those infrastructure practices depend on the actual hosting configuration.

Email and external references

A mailto link opens your email application. Sending email shares the information you choose to include with the recipient and relevant email providers; this is separate from browser-local bookmarks. Do not send financial credentials or sensitive documents. Following an external source link takes you to a third-party service with its own practices. The site applies a restrictive cross-origin referrer policy.

Questions about information handling
